These products or substances that are capable of endangering health, safety, property or the environment. There are some limitations to evaluate as VML transports classes 3 and 9.
Dangerous goods must first be declared by the customer to the service agent so that special arrangements can be made in advance, the supplier who is dispatching dangerous goods or product must be approved and declare the goods as dangerous, this type of transfers or shipments are usually controlled by all cargo entities area, IATA so the process can be delayed in its course in some cases.
- Gases: fire extinguishers, fuel, gas, aerosols, sprays, inhalers, lighters, oxygen or compressed air cylinders.
- Flammable liquids: adhesives, glues, acetone, paints, resins, varnishes, petroleum products, perfumery products.
- Flammable solids: matches, metal powders (zinc, magnesium), lithium, sodium, activated carbon.
- Oxidizing substances and organic peroxides: fertilizers, nitrate ammonia, chlorine, oxygen generators.
- Infectious and toxic substances: pesticides, herbicides, disinfectants, contaminated blood, infected samples.
- Radioactive material: smoke detectors, plutonium, uranium and those that generate ionizing radiation.
- Corrosives: acids, bases, mercury, ammonia, household cleaners, batteries.
- Miscellaneous dangerous goods: magnetized material, chemistry sets, dry ice, motorcycles, vehicles, rescue equipment.
